Dysbarism (medical condition)

A condition that occurs when there is a change in the surrounding pressure such as when scuba diving or moving to places of different altitudes. Dysbarism can occur when pressure increases or decreases and includes conditions such as decompression sickness, barotraumas, nitrogen narcosis, high pressure nervous system and atrial gas embolism.
