(erb) Erb syphilitic spastic paraplegia an uncommon form of meningovascular neurosyphilis marked by progressive spasticity and weakness of the legs, paraplegia, muscular atrophy, paresthesia, increased knee and ankle reflexes, and incontinence. Called also cerebrospinal syphilis , Erb paralysis , Erb-Charcot disease , and syphilitic paraplegia .
