[TA] terminal branch of superficial temporal artery (with parietal branch) supplying anterolateral scalp and underlying musculature, periosteum, and outer table and diploë of cranium; anastomoses: across midline with contralateral partner; supratrochlear and supraorbital arteries. SYN: ramus frontalis arteriae temporalis superficialis [TA].
