Joint of head of rib

[TA] the synovial joint between a rib and bodies of two adjacent vertebrae; the joint cavity is divided by an intraarticular ligament that attaches to the intervertebral disc; the first, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth ribs articulate with only one vertebra.
