Neural plate /tube

neural plate (neuroectoderm) is the region of embryonic ectodermal cells, that lies directly above the notochord; during neurulation, it changes shape, so as to produce an infolding of the neural plate (the neural fold) that then seals to form the neural tube from which the brain and spinal cord develops in vertebrate embryos.
