term used in the Bethesda system for reporting cervical/vaginal cytologic diagnosis to describe a spectrum of noninvasive cervical epithelial abnormalities, including moderate and severe dysplasia, carcinoma in situ, and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grades 2 and 3.Bethesda system, ASCUS, atypical glandular cells of undetermined significance, under cell, low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion.
