Glutaraldehyde

Glutaraldehyde, or 1,5-pentanedial, is a dialdehyde with the molecular formula CH2(CH2CHO)2. It is slightly acidic in its natural state. Glutaraldehyde is a colourless oily liquid with a pungent odour. [1,2] It is soluble in water and in organic solvents. Solutions in water are stable for long periods of time. [3]
