Chemwatch has become a global leader in providing chemicals management solutions, providing management software and training for the management of chemicals. The position AI Developer will be working
in Ucorp Pty Ltd trading as Chemwatch and/or our subsidiary company, Integrate existing AI tools and models (e.g., OpenAI GPT, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face) into software solutions. Develop and maintain software applications that leverage AI capabilities etc.
The duties and responsibilities are as below:
AI Integration and Customization:
- Integrate existing AI tools and models (e.g., OpenAI GPT, TensorFlow,
PyTorch, Hugging Face) into software solutions.
- Customize pre-trained models to meet specific business requirements and improve performance.
- Implement and optimize AI-driven features such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and recommendation systems.
Software Development:
- Develop and maintain software applications that leverage AI capabilities.
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of AI components into existing systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Data Processing and Analysis:
- Preprocess and analyze data to ensure compatibility with existing AI models.
- Develop data pipelines and workflows to support AI-driven features.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and availability.
Model Evaluation and Optimization:
- Evaluate the performance of integrated AI models and make necessary adjustments.
- Continuously monitor and optimize AI-driven features in production environments.
- Conduct rigorous testing to ensure model accuracy and robustness.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Communicate complex AI concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and brainstorming sessions.
Research and Innovation:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI tools and models.
- Explore and prototype new AI technologies and methodologies.
- Contribute to the company’s intellectual property through innovation and research.
Qualifications and Skills/Experience required:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. A Ph.D.
is a plus OR
- At least five years’ work experience as substitute for qualification.
- Experience:
- at least one year full time or equivalent proven experience in integrating and customizing existing AI tools and models into software solutions.
- Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Experience with AI frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using pre-trained models and AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Google Vision AI).
- Knowledge of NLP, computer vision, or recommendation systems is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Self-motivated with a passion for learning and innovation.
