Over the last almost 35 years.Chemwatch has become a global leader in providing chemicals management solutions, providing management software and training for the management of chemicals. The position Data Analyst will be working in Ucorp Pty Ltd trading as Chemwatch and/or our subsidiary company.

The duties and responsibilities are as below:

  • Performing data analysis and extraction to assist with current and future projects using Python, R programming in the Commission.
  • Developing, progressing and managing projects within the Section by working closely with other team members, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the development of innovative ideas to tackle challenging problems through data analytics using SQL.
  • To provide subject matter expertise in the data science domain with the aim to enhance the effectiveness of the Commission’s use of data and information assets for regulatory functions.
  • Developing capability for advanced analytical evaluating and techniques within the Section also developing Power BI frontend user interface for sales and Marketing KPI’s.
  • To provide meaningful qualitative and quantitative industry insights to support regulatory functions regarding risks and recommendations.
  • Collaboratively work in Azure DevOps by updating, sharing, debugging every stage of production with the team.
  • Assisting in the development of written reports, infographics and presentations detailing the findings of analysis conducted for various projects.
  • Actively organizing tasks and processing those within the proposed deadlines.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc work within the Section, including drafting communications, documents and briefs.

Qualification/Skill/ Experience Required:

  1. Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  2. At least three years experience in a similar role obtained in a medium to
  3. large size organization, preferably with experience in chemistry and/or Software industry
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  6. Strong clients relationship management
  7. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel,PowerPoint and Outlook, Google Docs)
  8. Attention to detail
  9. Organised and able to meet deadlines
