Ucorp Pty Ltd, trading as Chemwatch is an Australian company, headquartered in Melbourne Australia. Over the last almost 35 years. Chemwatch has become a global leader in providing chemicals management solutions, providing management software and training for the management of chemicals. The position Regulatory advisor will be working in Ucorp Pty Ltd trading as Chemwatch and/or our subsidiary company, to be responsible for ensuring the business complies with industry specification, standards, regulations and laws.
The duties and responsibilities are as below:
- Research published scientific literature to identify it's reliability (Klimisch score) and applicability for hazard determination according to the GHS
- Developing strategies for product registration to support commercial product launch with other business stakeholders such as marketing, sales, logistics.
- Reviewing the scientific content of registration packages to ensure they comply with government regulations prior to submission to the relevant country Regulatory Authority.
- Regulatory Intelligence and Strategy –Monitor and report on statutory and regulatory changes. Ensure updates are acted on and disseminated to relevant stakeholders.
- Providing input to global regulatory and R&D teams on local requirements to facilitate new product development or product changes
- Collaborating with marketing to review and approve advertising and promotional material to ensure it complies with local regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and assessing changes to emerging regulations and communicating the impact of these changes to the wider organisation, locally and globally.
- Stay current with global regulatory trends, guidance documents, and industry best practices.
- Obtaining any additional authorisations to support business needs e.g. import permits, Certificates of Free Sale (CFS).
- Stakeholder Interaction - Address regulatory enquiries, provide support and training on regulatory matters.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Bachelor of Biotechnology (or related fields)
- One Year Experience In Biotechnology Related Role
- In-depth Knowledge of OHS Policies & Practices
- In-depth Knowledge on Laboratory & Scientific Safety
- In-depth Experience with Chemical Management Database Software
- Experience with CRM Systems (Preferably PlanFix)
- Experience with Chemwatch System & Services
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Advanced knowledge of Chemwatch Chemical Management System
- Excellent consulting, negotiation and facilitation skills
- Excellent customer service / Customer focused
- Organise and conduct client meetings to client needs
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
- Review and maintain client relationships
