Acetylsalicylic acid poisoning

Refers to the toxic effect of overdosing on aspirin. Early symptoms include dizziness, ringing in the ears, change in body temperature, gastrointestinal upset and hyperventilation. Severe cases results in respiratory alkalosis followed by metabolic acidosis.
