Leukemia with an acute onset, characterized by the presence of lymphoblasts or Burkitt cells in the bone marrow and the peripheral blood. It includes the precursor B lymphoblastic leukemia, precursor T lymphoblastic leukemia, and Burkitt's leukemia.
