Alimentary tract smear

a group of cytologic specimens containing material from the mouth (oral smear), esophagus and stomach (gastric smear), duodenum (paraduodenal smear), and colon, obtained by specialized lavage techniques; used principally for the diagnosis of cancer of those areas.
