with the arm supinated to 45°, a tap near the lower end of the radius causes contraction of the brachioradial (supinator longus) muscle. SYN: radioperiosteal reflex, styloradial reflex, supination reflex, supinator jerk, supinator reflex, supinator longus reflex.
