Catscratch disease (CSD)

a benign, subacute illness caused by Bartonella henselae, and characterized by regional lymphadenitis following the scratch (occasionally the bite) of a cat. SYN: benign inoculation lymphoreticulosis, benign inoculation reticulosis, catscratch fever, regional granulomatous lymphadenitis.
