Descending branch of superficial cervical artery

[TA] descending branch of superficial cervical artery (or of superficial branch of transverse cervical artery) that passes inferiorly with the accessory nerve, deep to the transverse (middle) and ascending (inferior) parts of the trapezius, which it supplies. SYN: ramus descendens rami superficialis arteriae transversae cervicis [TA].
