[TA] a bundle of thin, poorly myelinated nerve fibers reciprocally connecting the periventricular zone of the hypothalamus with ventral parts of the central gray substance of the midbrain. SYN: fasciculus longitudinalis posterior [TA], Schütz bundle, tract of Schütz.
