Hereditary essential myoclonus (medical condition)

A very rare inherited syndrome characterized mainly by mild dystonia and myoclonic jerks that occur mainly in the arms, neck and trunk. Alcohol makes the condition worse. Psychiatric disorders are also often present. See also Myoclonic dystonia
