A rare chronic lung condition where accumulation of protein or phospholipids material in the lung air sacs prevent the lungs from effectively clearing any inhaled particles such as sawdust. The condition may disappear, remain stable or progress. Chronic forms are fatal in 25% of cases. See also Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis
