Mastoid lymph nodes

[TA] two or three nodes in the region of the mastoid process; they receive afferent lymphatic vessels from the scalp and auricle and send efferent vessels to the superior deep cervical nodes. SYN: nodi lymphoidei mastoidei [TA], retroauricular lymph nodes.
