Rectus abdominis syndrome (medical condition)

A rare condition where abdominal nerves become trapped in the abdominal muscle (rectus abdominis) which causes pain in the abdominal wall. Excessive physical stress or pregnancy can cause the condition. The condition may be short lived or may be chronic and require surgical or other intervention. See also Intercostal nerve syndrome
