Sertoli-cell–only syndrome

(ser-to´le) congenital absence of the germinal epithelium of the testes, the seminiferous tubules containing only Sertoli cells, marked by testes slightly smaller than normal, azoospermia, and elevated titers of follicle-stimulating hormone or of general gonadotropins.
