Spasmodic infantile paraplegia (medical condition)

A slow-progressing degeneration of the tract that connects the brain to the spinal cord (corticospinal tract) resulting in muscle spasticity, weakness and paralysis. The severity of symptoms is determined by the nature and extent of the damage. See also Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia
