[TA] origin, terminal branch (with circumflex scapular artery) of subscapular; distribution, muscles of upper part of back especially the latissimus dorsi; anastomoses, branches of lateral thoracic. SYN: arteria thoracodorsalis [TA], dorsal thoracic artery.
