Transition metals

A (loosely defined) group of 38 elements with specific chemical properties. Examples of transition metals include Iron (Fe), Zinc (Zn), Nickel (Ni), Copper (Cu), Silver (Ag), Manganese (Mn), Cobalt (Co), etc. The name transition comes from their position in the periodic table (groups 3 to 12). These elements are very hard with high melting points and high electrical conductivity.
