Umbilical fissure

the plane of the left hepatic vein that corresponds superficially to the planes of the left sagittal fissure and the attachment of the falciform ligament, and separates the left medial and lateral divisions of the left (part of the) liver. SYN: fissura umbilicalis [TA], left portal scissura.
