Uvula of soft palate

[TA] a conical projection from the posterior edge of the middle of the soft palate, composed of connective tissue containing a number of racemose glands, and some muscular fibers (uvulae muscle). SYN: uvula palatina [TA], palatine uvula, pendulous palate.
