Wash-bottle

(1) a bottle with a tube passing to the bottom, through which gases are forced into water to purify them; (2) a stoppered bottle with two tubes, one ending above and the other below a fluid, so that air blowing through the short tube forces liquid in a small stream from the free end of the long one; used in washing chemical apparatus.
