Acetylaminofluorene

hepatic carcinogen whose mechanism of activation involves N-hydroxylation to the arylhydroxamic acid followed by enzymatic sulfonation to sulfoxyfluorenylacetamide; used to study the carcinogenicity and mutagenicity of aromatic amines.
