Aleutian mink disease

DF: A slow progressive disease of mink caused by the Aleutianmink disease virus. It is characterized by poorreproduction, weight loss, autoimmunity,hypergammaglobulinemia, increased susceptibility tobacterial infections, and death from renal failure. Thedisease occurs in all color types, but mink which arehomozygous recessive for the Aleutian gene for light coatcolor are particularly susceptible.
