Amyloid lichen (medical condition)

A chronic itchy skin rash caused by abnormal deposits of amyloid in the skin. There doesn't appear to be amyloid deposits in any other part of the body. The skin lesions are usually found on the shins but can also occur on the thighs, back and forearms. It is often associated with conditions such as atopic dermatitis, lichen planus and mycosis fungoides. See also Lichen amyloidosis
