Auricular branch of vagus nerve

[TA] a branch of the superior ganglion of the vagus, merging with fibers from the inferior ganglion of the glossopharyngeal nerve supplying the cranial surface of the auricle, the external acoustic meatus, and lower part of the external surface of the tympanic membrane. SYN: Arnold nerve, ramus auricularis nervi vagi.
