Birt-Hogg-Dube syndrome

(bәrt´ hog´ dūb´) an autosomal dominant disorder of proliferation of ectodermal and mesodermal components, caused by a mutation on chromosome 17p and characterized by multiple acrochordons , trichodiscomas , and fibrofolliculomas on the head, chest, back, and arms; kidney tumors; spontaneous pneumothorax ; and intestinal polyposis.
