Blue dome cyst

(1) one of a number of small dark blue nodules or cysts in the vaginal fornix due to retained menstrual blood in endometriosis affecting this region; (2) a benign retention cyst of the mammary gland in fibrocystic disease, containing a pale slightly yellow fluid that gives a blue tint to the cyst when seen through the surrounding fibrous tissue.
