This would include rail cars, tanker trucks, or silos full of a single material. However, this term can also have a variety of other definitions based upon the specific industry or facility. For example, a small-parts picking operation may refer to a case storage area as “bulkâ€, while a case-picking operation may refer to the full-pallet area as the “bulk areaâ€.
