[TA] facial muscle of mouth; origin, anterolateral base of mandible anteriorly; insertion, blends with other muscles in lower lip near angle of mouth; action, pulls down corners of mouth; nerve supply, facial. SYN: musculus depressor anguli oris [TA], musculus triangularis (2) [TA], triangular muscle (2) [TA], musculus triangularis labii inferioris.
