Hyperinsulinism due to focal adenomatous hyperplasia (medical condition)

A rare inherited condition where only some of the pancreatic islet cells that produce insulin are abnormal. The prognosis for this form is good as surgical removal of the abnormal pancreatic tissue allows the pancreas to retain normal function. See also Hyperinsulinism, focal
