Idiopathic cyclic edema (medical condition)

Periodic swelling or bloating that occurs in women while they are standing but disappears when they lie down. Excessive aldosterone hormone may cause the problem which tends do become worse in the period leading up to menstruation. See also Cyclical edema syndrome
