Intermediate hepatic veins

[TA] veins draining the central portion of the liver (the left sides of the superior anterior segment [VIII]) and the inferior anterior segment [V] of the right (part of the) liver and the right side of the medial segment [IV] of the left (part of the) liver, forming a trunk that merges with that of the left hepatic veins about 90% of the time before entering the left side of the inferior vena cava.
