Listeria monocytogenes meningitis (medical condition)

A very rare form of meningitis (bacterial infection of the brain membrane or meninges) caused by Listeria monocytogenes. The condition is more common in the elderly and those with poor immune system and death is common. See also Lysteria monocytoigeneses meningitis
