Lung, unilateral, hyperlucent (medical condition)

A rare acquired lung anomaly where one lung is more translucent than the other. It may be caused by the destruction of peripheral capillaries in the affected lung usually as a result of recurring lung infections during childhood. See also Swyer, James & McLeod Syndrome
