Marginal artery of colon

[TA] artery formed by anastomoses between the right and left colic arteries; it passes downward from the left colic flexure to the aboral end of the pelvic colon. SYN: arteria marginalis coli [TA], arcus marginalis coli*, arteria juxtacolica*, juxtacolic artery*, marginal arcade*, artery of Drummond, Riolan arc (2).
