Master “2-step” exercise test

(mas´tәr) a type of exercise testing ; electrocardiographic tracings are recorded first while the subject repeatedly goes up and down two steps, then immediately after the end of the exercise, and then 2 and 6 minutes after the end. The amount of work (number of trips) is standardized for age, weight, and sex. Treadmill exercise tests are now more commonly used.
