Myotonia dystrophica (medical condition)

A rare inherited neuromuscular disorder characterized by muscle stiffness when movement is initiated and difficulty relaxing muscles after movement had occurred. Becker disease is a recessively inherited form of myotonia congenita and usually occurs later in childhood than the dominantly inherited form and muscle stiffness is usually more severe.
