DF: The most well known avian paramyxovirus in thegenus Rubulavirus and the cause of a highlyinfectious pneumoencephalitis in fowl. It is alsoreported to cause conjunctivitis in humans.Transmission is by droplet inhalation or ingestionof contaminated water or food.
