Palmate folds of cervical canal

[TA] the two longitudinal ridges, anterior and posterior, in the mucous membrane lining the cervix uteri, from which numerous secondary folds, or rugae, branch off. SYN: plicae palmatae canalis cervicis uteri [TA], arbor vitae uteri, lyra uterina.
