Peroneal nerve, accessory deep (medical condition)

An extra nerve in the leg that some people have. The accessory peroneal nerve branches off from the peroneal nerve and provides additional innervations for the foot muscles. The anomaly poses no problems and is asymptomatic but may be noticed if nerve conduction tests are done on the leg nerves. See also Accessory deep peroneal nerve
