Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF)

A solid fuel prepared from municipal solid waste. The waste material is usually refined by shredding, air classification, magnetic separation, or other means. The fuel can be packed, chopped, pelletized, pulverized, or subject to other mechanical treatment.
