Rubner laws of growth

(1) the law of constant energy consumption: the rapidity of growth is proportional to the intensity of the metabolic processes; (2) the law of the constant growth quotient: in most young mammals, 24% of the entire food energy, or calories, is used for growth; in humans, only 5% is thus used.
