Androgenic alopecia (medical condition)

A form of hair loss that can affect men or women. In males, the hair loss starts over the temples and the hairline recedes gradually and sometimes complete baldness results. Women suffer thinning of hair all over the head and there is no receding hairline. See also Androgenetic alopecia
